Justin Schanck was hired in June, 2008 as a Quality Engineer. He knew right away that CERTON was the company where he wanted to grow his professional career and immediately started implementing best practices to promote efficiency and effectiveness throughout the workplace. CERTON’s atmosphere, leadership, and business culture were all things that attracted him.
Justin began climbing the corporate ladder and went from Quality Engineer to Corporate Quality Manager after proving his value by developing a Quality Management System from the ground up that would aid in getting CERTON its ISO 9001 and AS9100 certifications. From there he became interested in safety-critical software engineering and moved over to the company’s engineering and project management sector.
Justin’s desire to lead, dedication, and willingness to mentor eventually propelled him first to a tech lead position, next to project management and soon thereafter to technical manager. In March 2016, he accepted his current role as Corporate Project Manager at CERTON.
As Corporate Project Manager, Justin is responsible for overseeing all programs at CERTON and ensuring they finish on-time, within budget, and with the highest customer satisfaction. He also works to guarantee all personnel and resources are allocated and effective in their roles. He does this by maintaining a line of communication with all employees to try and understand their goals and aspirations and put them in the roles that allow them to succeed in the workplace.
Outside of work, Justin is a proud husband to his beautiful wife and father to his three amazing little girls. In his free time, he enjoys coaching or watching his girls play sports, hitting the links, and throwing a line in the water.
