Operating the largest fleet of 61-seat, European style passenger buses in Florida, Pegasus transports over 100,000 visitors across 1 million miles annually.

It began with one van and one driver: Fernando Pereira introduced VIP’s Jet Tours to the transportation industry in 1994. The year 2000 was a major milestone for Pereira as the company acquired its first 61-seat passenger bus to serve a growing client base, and VIP’s Jet Tours started operating as Pegasus.
Pegasus Takes Wing
By 2007, the business shifted toward group travel. Pegasus had 18 buses and opened a second location in south Florida. The future was bright, and the home base that started it all needed to expand. In 2010, Pegasus constructed its permanent headquarters in Orlando. An increased office space, garage and maintenance shop allowed Pegasus to keep, maintain and attend to its buses onsite. Menezes joined the company in 2011, growing Pegasus’ portfolio. The product line diversified to include hotels, attractions and events.
Pegasus has created a unique approach to the planning, logistics and delivery of high-quality transportation services. Using your smartphone or tablet, Web Integrated Network Group Services (W.I.N.G.S) software by Pegasus gives travelers control of everything from transportation services, hotel reservations, attraction tickets and dining packages, to the smallest request. With W.I.N.G.S, quick access to a group’s itinerary for the day, week or month assures travelers will always be on time and in the right location.
Pegasus added Marketplace in 2015 to offer hassle-free reservations for attraction tickets, sporting events, hotels and more. As a Walt Disney World Select Tour Operator, Pegasus Marketplace offers a user-friendly booking platform that enables clients to search for destinations, products and services quickly and efficiently.
Their efforts have paid off; Orlando Business Journal named Menezes one of the 2016 Women Who Mean Business Executives of the Year and in 2015, it recognized Pereira as CEO of the Year. In 2011, the U.S. Small Business Administration North Florida District honored Pereira as Small Business Person of the Year. Pegasus also was named Innovator of the Year at the 2016 Bright House Networks Regional Business Awards gala for the Greater Orlando area.
“We are working more and more toward building partnerships within the community,” Menezes said. “It is not only bringing business to us, but it is benefitting all the businesses. We’re engaging in ideas and strategies to maximize exposure and have a community with one vision.”
