Orlando-headquartered geotechnical engineering firm jumps 27 places in Engineer News Record’s prestigious poll of top companies

Universal, a $70 million, 700-employee geotechnical engineering company, is headquartered in Orlando, Fla., with 18 branches throughout Florida and Georgia. The family-owned firm was started in 1964 by Seymour (Sy) Israel and is now led by his son, President Mark Israel.
