Colors alone communicate a message before you even have a chance to open your mouth. Just like your overall image, choosing the right colors to wear for the occasion can really add value and boost business. Sound silly? Think again! The way you dress sends a strong unspoken message about who you are and what others can expect from you.
Color, in particular, has a powerful emotional impact on the viewer and also on the person wearing the color. Colors can make us feel happy, sad, in charge, relaxed, sexy or serious, even though we may not be consciously aware of it. In a society that is so visually charged, you don’t want to miss the mark by giving someone the cold shoulder by wearing too much black, for instance. It screams power and authority. The message you may not be aware you are conveying is: “I know it all and don’t have time for you.
You may want to take a check before you head out to your next networking event and make sure that what you’re wearing is sending the message you intended to convey.

No accessories, no pop of color, nothing else on you to send an inviting message or one that says, “I’m worth meeting!” Now, don’t get me wrong, beige can also be classic when paired with the right complementary colors and when utilized in a garment that truly flatters your figure for timeless style.
Pastels can send a calm, self-assured, and sense-of-security message, while bolder colors are more confidence boosting.
